CYCLUM
Inspired by ambient music and abstract art, bachelor project Cyclum explores the connections between photography and sound, focusing on their potential to evoke haptic experiences. The work is conceptually grounded in the notion of pleasure, which has served as an underlying theme throughout the study and whose physical presence and visual articulation the photographic part of the thesis focuses on. The work has been created using cymatics, a process in which photographs are formed based on the resonance between sound frequencies and the oobleck material. The final work consists of a photographic series and a soundscape.
